What is a concurrent disorder?
If you experience mental health symptoms that interfere with your day to day functioning (work, relationships, finances, etc.) along with substance use, you can be considered to have a concurrent disorder.

Mental health issues and substance use often go hand in hand and need to be addressed at the same time. The concurrent disorder program can provide you and your family with tools and support to minimize the symptoms of your mental illness as well as help you achieve your substance use goals.

An assessment consists of 2-3 one hour sessions that focus on areas of concern to you. With the assistance of your counsellor you will set your personal goals.
