Adult Program

Are drugs, alcohol or gambling hurting your relationships with friends and family?
Are you concerned about a loved-one’s gambling or substance use?
Are you losing control to drugs, alcohol or gambling?

At ASYR we focus on you, not just the addiction. You are bigger than your addiction. You are not defined by your addiction.

In our Adult Program we work with individuals over age 25, using a holistic approach to work with you to regain control and meet your goals. We equally support those who choose abstinence and those who choose harm-reduction.

Addiction is not viewed within the individual alone. We view it within the context of your physiology, your family and your culture.

The ASYR Adult Substance Use Program (ASUP) supports adults who are twenty five years of age and older as well as their families in making changes to the harmful use and impacts of substances in their lives.

The function of the Adult Program is to provide a confidential and comprehensive community based service, which include a client centred approach, substance use assessment as per guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, substance use treatment including individual and group approach.

As part of the Adult Program we:

  • Assess community and client needs
  • Provide comprehensive substance use assessment
  • Provide referrals to appropriate services in the community
  • Provide information and education about use of substances and recovery
  • Provide individual counselling
